Kronenbourg Ad

BBH has just released this new campaign for Kronenbourg with the tagline "Slow The Pace", featuring a heavily weathered Motorhead playing a slowed down, bluesy version of their classic "Ace of Spades" in a French cafe, to the enjoyment of the locals.

I love this advert, it's beautifully shot, the track is iconic and well thought out, but I can't help feeling the overall mood of the video doesn't match the tone of voice of a light, French lager. To me, this ad has Jack Daniels written all over it, or at least Guinness. The final shot of a pint of almost luminescent 1664 is in no way in keeping with the desaturated feel of the rest of the advert, and I'm left feeling like BBH should have kept this one locked away for another client.
